JuraDataHub is the core supporting tool of the JuraData Lake, designed to meet the integration and exchange demands of multi-source heterogeneous data in the oil and gas industry. It establishes a unified, efficient, and standardized data aggregation platform. The system supports the collection, transformation, and bidirectional exchange of various data types, fully connecting external systems, professional software, standard formats, and the data lake. This enables enterprises to achieve unified governance and intelligent application of comprehensive business data.
Over 80 professional applications, each with proprietary languages and interfaces, create significant technical barriers to seamless data exchange. The widespread lack of standardized SDKs further complicates integration.
Critical business data, such as logging curves, exists in numerous proprietary formats (e.g., LAS, WIS, 716). This lack of standardization makes accurate data parsing a major technical hurdle.
Research collaboration is hampered by reliance on manual data conversion, leading to slow, error-prone processes and fragmented scenarios that lack unified business logic.
JuraDataHub enables plug-and-play integration with 20+ professional applications (e.g., Petrel, GeoFrame) through API, database, SDK, and file interfaces. Its microservices architecture supports rapid adaptation to new software with minimal customization.
JuraDataHub automates data management and conversion for structured/unstructured formats (e.g., SEGY, LAS) using the OIO model and industry standards (WITSML™, PRODML™), with AI-assisted quality control ensuring consistency across the aggregation process.
JuraDataHub delivers high-performance data exchange for thousands of users and hundreds of GB in real time. Leveraging compression, caching, parallel processing, and specialized VDS technology, it enables seamless collaboration through web, desktop, and standalone interfaces.

This project was part of CNOOC’s key initiative, the Integrated Exploration & Development Collaborative Research Platform, aimed at breaking down data silos and improving interdisciplinary collaboration.
In alignment with CNPC Southwest Oil & Gas Field’s digital strategy, this project focused on enabling seamless data flow between Petrel, GeoMap, and the company’s collaborative research platform to support integrated exploration and development workflows.
